Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

You will only notice visually if you have your covers assigned. - When you launch the emulator from USB, games/art on the device will be ignored if a SD card is also inserted with the same Z-GX folder structure. SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - 12 seconds pause before the game starts booting, affects build 20260811B. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. IOS(222) nload [FAT]

then the wii just starts blinking a blue light in the front where the disc goes.
and i think it freezes cause i cant do anything but hold the power button and turn it off.
pls help!!!

i have tried installing cios 222 and 223 and still the same thing. i also switched from ios 249 to 222-mload and 223-mload, and
still the same so pls help!!!

Is your HD formatted to Fat32?

ummm.....im using a sdhc card, and yeah its formatted to FAT 32. i boot up cfg and the game from that sdhc card. at first it said error IOS 222 or IOS 223 is needed to play games off a FAT32 format. so i switched it from 249 to 222 and now its giving me this problem

So do you actually have working versions of 249,222, and 223 cIOS installed.?

And what versions are these.

If required, use dop-mii to get a report.
