I am trying to get CEMU to work on my Ubuntu 17.04 machine (i7, 8GB ram). There is a reddit thread I have followed, but it does not work. Wine crashes whenever I load a game (The games I have tested are BOTW and Captain Toad). I am using 1.9.0 of CEMU and 2.15 Wine.

have you tried running it in a vm instead? also i believe the issue is that you need vcredist. i made a version that can download the dll files needed here: https://github.com/MarioMasta64/EverythingPortable/releases/latest/ (the suite you can use to download cemuportable) idk if itll work but you can try it out

The redistributable is already able to be installed through winetricks, which is on the Linux guide. The guide I posted works for me up until launching games, where it crashes.

running in Oracle virtualbox works, but it so slow as to be unplayable.
