Hacking castlevania dos won't work...

castlevania dawn of sorrow won't work on my ds

. i've got an m3 real adapter with a 2gig micro sd card. when the game starts a blank white screen loads and it just hangs there.

any fix's?

all other games work fine so far including castlevania portrait of ruin.

1) get latest firmware
2) get a new dump of the game
3) what microSD card do you have?

both castlevania games work fine for me
there might be problems using a sandisk

it's a kingston 2gig micro sd card.
i udated to firmware 3.5. now the game starts up and i can play a couple of rooms after the first boss. when i go into the next room the game hangs

i've tried 3 different dumps, they give the same result.

Do you have a Japanese or Taiwanese Kingston card? I heard it makes the difference on Castlevania.

Edit: This is a weird problem since your said PoR works fine even though it should be more problematic than DoS.

the sd card is Taiwanese.

just tried reformatting the card and using a new dump. still the same prob.

SanDisk only have problems if the memory card is a 'fake' (compressed data). I've never heard of any Kingston fakes though. Taiwan products are usually reliable...

got it working!

reformatted the card.
downloaded new firmware.
got a new dump.
reset the DS.

the game hangs mid play about twice a day but if i restart the DS i can start from the last save point and it works fine.
