Hope you keep having some progress with the project and fun with it. It would be very big with a fix for Wii since it can be hard to come by more AX88772 adapters now. I have tried to buy one multiple times in Norway now and keep getting wrong ones. most recently thought i had finally gotten some right ones and they show as AX88772B to my big disappointment. Really appreciate your work

I made a PR to add Wii/Wii Mini support: https://github.com/doworian/vWii-Ethernet-Patcher/pull/2

Edit: While I was able to make the network work with my changes on a Wii Mini, it threw me down a rabbit hole where several mishaps on my own made me almost brick the system. I was able to recover but by a thread. I'll continue investigating.

Edit2: oh HBC decided to flip because ios 58 was altered. i guess something simillar is going on with nintendont.

So the AX88772D Chip works without problems? Just to be sure, because I want to buy one and it's the cheapest that I found compared to the AX88772B

I didn't try the patch for Wii, but I would expect it to work as the patch for Wii U was trivial once you knew what to patch. So this this patch should work for it.
C was basically the same as B from the software perspective

But my recommendation: look for an Apple A1277 on eBay and flash it to look like the original AX88772. You can find them pretty cheap and once flashed no mods on the Wii are needed for it to work.
Only thing is, you can't be afraid of the Linux terminal, since you will need that for the flashing.
