Hacking case mods

Seen some good ones on youtube, with people having white outside, then black inside.

Anyone here got any cool mods on their DS?

Be tops to see pics, and how you did it.

Would like to do something to mine if i could find some kit.

I don't have one currently, but I plan to do one with the white ds lite I have now, and the navy one I'm getting in a few months.

I wish they sold replacement shells of the DS Lite that were actually good quality. I bought the shock, the "Dreamy Blue" scheme, and I had half white and half blue, and it looked pretty cool, but the hinge cracked (main reason I even bought the thing was cuz I had a hinge crack). Went back to full white...

thats why i like ds phats, theyre frikking tanks
you cant even play the lite after the hinge cracks

i guess its unfair how the shock cases are flooding the market now, if they suck like everyone says, the price will either drop very low or theyll dissapear

i hope someone else does come out with a good case
theres also an alternative, theres these outer protective shells available (hard clear plastic ones) and you can put special pictures in a gap so it looks like the case.
i think there was a topic about that somewhere here

I got a protective shell, it works well, it just makes the DS Lite a tad bit bulkier, but after putting it on, it made the DS Lite more comfortable to hold. I agree, I like the original DS for how sturdy it is, its more comfortable to play, and for click buttons, but I like the extended battery life, brightness, and aesthetics of the DS Lite; also the plentiful accessories. One other thing I like about the DS phat, is how it is much easier to mod them. The replacement shells are way better quality than those shock shells. I'm using one on my gf's DS phat, made her's pink and white like the pink DS in japan, and it's so much sturdier than, when I tried using the shock on my DS Lite.
