I say cart, because initially (like on the GBA) they were called game cartridges

So, GBA Flashcarts and before should be called Flashcarts, and Slot-1 DS Flashcarts should be called Flashcards, because they're in form of a DS Game Card.

Or something like that. I still prefer Flashcart though

I say either flashcart (short for flashcartridge) or you could say flash kit.

Doesn't really matter to me whether someone uses flashcard or flashcart - I get the idea!

For the GBA Games, they are Game Cartridge(s).

For the DS Games, the name's DS Game Card.

You can look at the names at your own DS, too.

I alternate the spelling every now and then. I feel backup playing hardware should be a flashcart (flash cartridge), while "flashcard" is a name more suited to memory cards. So you put your flashcard in your flashcart (unless it has built-in memory

).

Of course, this "logic" won't stop me from spelling it any damn way I please any given post.
