I heard that Android 4.3 was released one or two days ago so I tried to update from 4.2.2 to 4.3 on my Nexus 7 (not to be confused with the brand new Nexus 7) and it keeps saying that my system is up to date.

I've been hitting the "find update" on my Nexus 7 now and again since the update was announced. So far, STILL nothing.

It is slowly going many many many devices are still downloading it. I just received the notification for it on my nexus 7 tegra and nexus 4. downloaded the sources to my PC. It is a great update. Still cannot wait to see what the cm team has in store for this update.

Welcome new Nexus owner, they're updating in stages. Could be anytime between today and in a couple of weeks you get the update, has always been like that. If you're impatient you can always flash the OTA zip manually (without root or unlocked bootloader), instructions are somewhere buried at XDA, Google should help.

Okay, thanks. I'll just wait until I can download it from my device.

Those are factory images, though, it's much safer to flash the OTA zip.

Not sure how "safe" is defined, but the OTA is probably easier.

Meh, I'm a noob when it comes to smartphones so I'll just wait. 4.3 is not a big update anyway.
