can't save dsi menu layout

don't really know how to fix this, would appreciate any help. every time I move my software, whenever I press the power button it resets back to how it was? I genuinely don't know how to fix this whether its a unlaunch issue or something.

Nope, but it sounds like the save file for Launcher is set to read-only.
On your PC, open "sd:/title/00030017/", and look for "private.sav", then turn off the read-only flag.

ok so a slight correction, I don;t have hiyacfw installed, as the dumptool won't work for me (failed to open console_id.txt)
I only have unlaunch installed. would that be an issue?

Depends on which Unlaunch version is installed.

If you mean 2.0, idk why the icon arrangements won't save.
Try restoring a pre-Unlaunch NAND backup using Safe NAND Manager, then try arranging the icons again.
If the issue is fixed (or not), install Unlaunch, then try again.
