Hacking Can't install Letterbomb??

Hi
I modded the wii before but i wanted to have a fresh start. This is what i did:

- Re formatted the Wii (had internet on before)

- Formatted 32 GB SandDisk SD card Fat32 with SD card formatter.

- Inserted SD with lock on

- I copy and pasted the modmii files
- Letterbomb with the correct mac address, 4.3e and blue button.

- Letterbomb around three weeks back (did the correct dates and time.)
- Clicked on the letterbomb, loaded me back to the wii home page.
- tried to do the same thing again but it was the same result.

I'm not sure what I did wrong.
Also the youtube link i used the first time to mod the wii.

Sd lock should be off, also y are u using ModMii + letterbomb? Modmii would have u use wilbrand which is effectively the same thing.

It sounds like sd:/boot.elf (hackmii installer) is missing so you're bring returned to the wii menu

Thanks for the quick reply. I have checked the file and the boot.elf in the sd file is in there. Also I removed the letter bomb.

Is there anything else i could try?

If you can connect your Wii to the internet, try using STR2Hax with this guide.

If that's not an option, copy everything off the SD card, then clean it up, make sure it's totally empty. Do the Letterbomb exploit again, from the top, ensure you have the right System Menu version and region, make sure the MAC address is exact, and make sure you have "Bundle the Hackmii installer" selected! Then it should download a .zip, just extract the contents of that to your now emptied SD card, and try again.

Your Wii System Menu is also 4.3x ? The Letterbomb Exploit works only with 4.3x.

If you really want to use letterbomb, install modmii and follow the instructions... otherwise other hacking mtethods like STR2hax are the better option. Letterbomb is quite an old hacking method it is quite stable

Thanks for for the help. I tried STR2hax. It didnt work. Had an error saying you need to go to the nintendo site.

I found Flash Hax would that work?

That doesn’t sound right. Are you sure you entered the custom DNSes properly?

You need Version 4.3x for ALL those Exploits !!

its 4.3e. If i do update it, wouldnt nintendo notice it since i hacked it once already? Also have the internet channel on my wii.

4.3e is the newest version, and, no. Nintendo doesn't ban Wiis anymore.

No, no, it’s just that there’s another way to launch the Hackmii installer using an exploit with Smash Bros Brawl. There are quite a few retail games that have an update for 4.3e on them (which is what you’ve said you have, And what happens to be the newest firmware for the Wii, so..) So, can you connect your Wii to the Internet? I’m not sure if it still works in Europe, but you can still update them online the old fashioned way this side of the pond. If you can’t connect to the Internet, that’d explain why STR2Hax didn’t work, and would shoot down your chances of using FlashHax even further.

If that’s the case, you can look into BlueBomb, but you’d need a Linux PC with Bluetooth capabilities.
