Hardware Can't get my xbox 360 controller working.

So i got a X360 controller with a wired plug too play on my PC, but for some reason any game that supports the controller won't work with it. My PC even detects the controller, but it won't work. I am on Windows 10. Someone please help me. Thanks!

Wireless version with the play & charge cable attached. Again Windows detects it and it should work, but it isn't...

Won't work.

Play & charge kit doesn't turn it into a wired controller, it's just for powering the controller.

Well as it turns out my new Xbox One S controller actually works wired
Thanks for trying to help me. No adapter now! My PC couch gaming dreams are finally here...

all you need for wireless is bluetooth for the s controller, no special adapter needed, you can even one of those cheap $1 bt dongles
