Hacking Can't Get My Ncards to work

Hi, can somebody help me please if they can. I just got 2 new cards today. I've tried both cards and both are the same. My pc (xp) doesn't pick up the ds when I connect to usb. Also, I click on DS Fireline then MoonShell and it then a black page with red text comes up with errors. It doesn't give you much time to read all the text before it goes into dsystem. Any help really appreciated, thanks! ;-)

Reformat and download the necessary files for the update and update. Look at the sticky on the forum --;;

I would try using a diffrent port on your pc and if that doesn't work try a diffrent cable, I would also try what skyinthesea said.
