Hacking can't get cfg usb-loader to work

Hey so let me just explain all the details, i got a 750gb WD my passport essential SE, the problems are that cfg usbloader loads up off homebrew that i have approx 20-30 seconds to surf around looking for what game i want to play and then itll randomly freeze or if i load up a game itll load to the controller warning screen then freeze or freeze right after booting off usbloader, my passport is formatted as a single full space fat32 partition it is set as a primary partition pictures below are of the contents of the hard drive,

Any help would be much appreciated, im actually just getting frustrated with this whole situation lol, also if you think any usb-loaders are better than cfg one lemme know.

Please just tell me what im doing wrong cause im just str8 lost.

have you disabled spindown on your hard drive?

hmmm what is spindown? and how would i got about disabling?

its a sleep mode built into most hard drives - western digital's smartware (i believe) will let you alter its sleep settings.
