Hacking cant get a nand backup

i have a old version of hbc 10.1 and this version i dont think it has bootmii at all. I cant recall if it got downloaded or not because it wasnt me that installed homebrew for me. I just want to get my nand backup without removing homebrew then redownloadimg it please can someone help i am still new at this stuff. oh and when i get the autoupdate message on hbc and i press continue after a few % and then just stops and an error msg pops up.

just use an old SD card (FAT32) 2Gb max, redownload all the files needed, and update hbc.
install bootmii as boot2 or IOS, depending on your console version, and make a new NAND backup...

Use Modmii's hackmii solutions wizard, then afterwards use Modmii's main wizard. Problem solved
