Hacking Hardware Homebrew Can't format my HDD

Hello everyone,

My hard drive just failed me (wd) so I bought a new one (seagate) and I put it in the case I have (a wd case). The case uses an external power source and it always worked for me but now that I changed my hard drive my wii doesn't recognize it and so I can't format it which is weird since my computer recognizes the drive perfectly.

What do you think I should do?

have you tried with "guiformat" to format your external hard drive in FAT32?

guiformat FAT32===>

My old hard drive was partitioned fat32/Wii u format so I had all of my Wii and Wii u games on one hard drive and I was trying to partion the new one but the first step is to format it with the Wii u but since the console doesn't recognize it I can't do anything.

I try to format it to fat32 and put games on it to see if USB loader GX recognizes it but nothing show up either
