Homebrew Can't convert .3ds to .cia?

So I used @Plailect 's guide (great work on that, btw!) and I have AuReiNAND installed. When I try to follow this reddit guide, (https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/40etaz/tutorial_dumping_3ds_carts_and_converting_3ds/) It keeps saying Arm11 Exploit failed. Yet I start the hbl from the modified sysNAND. Am I missing something here, or Am I unable to do this?

Do you have installed arm9loaderhax or menuhax? What is your emunand and sysnand version?

Kernel apps don't run from an updated sysnand. If you have one, kernel apps need to be run straight from a9lh or a 9.2(or lower) emunand.
