Gaming Can't connect Laptop to AP.

I recentlu bought a Thomson SpeedTouch 585v6 wireless router, and I can't connect my laptop to the access point. It detects the access point but then the connection fails.
My Wii and DS are able to connect just fine, and I can connect to my neighbor's Wi-Fi with the Laptop.

What can I do to connect the laptop to my wireless router?
