Switch 1 v1, CFW 19.0.1, Atmosphere 1,8,0, Emunand, OFW 13.2.0 sysnand, trying to get back to clean switch so i could transfer files to Switch 2 and i can't actually understand what i'm doing wrong or what i actually need to do.

I thought simply taking SD card out will make my switch boot to OFW but that isn't the case (or at least, it isn't like that for me), i still need hekate to boot switch 1 to OFW

Can anyone tell me what to exactly do or what am i doing wrong?
Will i be able to transfer my files to Switch 2 with my Switch 1 just being as it is by simply updating stock Sysnand or do i need to totally remove SD card with CFW atmosphere on it?

can anyone help?

i have 2 thoughts about this.

1. Hekate is just a payloaded bootloader, meaning while in a Recovery Mode state, you will inject it. The bootloader could be patching some stuff to make OFW work. My first take would be an obvious one, but make sure Auto RCM is off.

2. While some newer Firmwares might update/upgrade stuff in the background, your older OFW might need an update so there is no patching needed by the bootloader. I could be wrong here, but i experienced some issues when using my OFW with an older Firmware than the CFW, and its about the game cartridge slot. When updating the Firmware, some updates also update the game cartridge slot, making it unusable on older Firmwares. While i only experienced an issue in a working state, i am not sure if it could prevent booting without RCM. Make sure, if you need the newest Firmware for the transfer, that you might blow fuses while updating, making downgrades impossible. I dont know if there is any use for that, never really went into the benefits. But updating while you booted with hekate should prevent blowing fuses afaik.
