im on ipod touch 4G with ios 5.0.1 and when i jailbreak with redsn0w i successfully jailbreak it and tethered boot it but when i go on cydia it says preparing filesystem and the system reboots, and most of the apps on my first home screen are missing as well as no Cydia! Please help?

launch redsn0w agan and use the "just boot teathered option" to get cydia back up again.
You'll have to do this everytime you reboot your iPod Touch, as it is a teathered jailbreak.

ok i'll try jailbreaking again an doing that again. Also, one of the times I tried it, the Cydia icon was white, even though i boot tethered. does this mean anything?

on winterboard, i put 2 themes on at the same time and now i cant unlock my iPod, it just freezes and then turns the screen off. when i turn it on again all the words on the screen have disappeared and i cant do anything. the when i press the on button it goes back to normal but then the same problem as before happens. please help!

If you have installed OpenSHSH, you can SHSH our device and delete the 2 themes. (/var/stash/Themes.xxxx)

i sorted it out by restoring and re-jailbreaking my iPod, but now i cant add sources! when i press add, Cydia just freezes!

rejailbreak? but with a different tool (if possible)

but can you help with Cydia sources?
If you rejailbreak it re-installs cydia which should fix the issue.
