I was following MODMII'S instructions, and everything went smoothly until installing wads. I managed to install all the wads except 5 wads.
The 5 wads are all CIOS, 202, 222,223,224,249. I tried to install via
Yet Another Wad Manager
Multi Mod Manager

I have gotten the ret -1022 error with both.
I am using the IOS 236, which i patched with IOS236 INSTALLER V5 MOD, and it said it was success. I also tried patching it with SIMPLE IOS PATCHER. I still got the -1022 error regardless.

What should I do? I did everything exactly as followed. I don't see why I am getting the -1022 error if IOS236 was successfully patched.

Also, I tried to remove stubbed iOS using mod manager, but it did not find any stubbed ios. Really stuck here. Mod manager also shows that IOS236 is patched correctly.

Try to use Dop-Mii to remove the sub IOSes, then try again.

Run from HB Channel.

That's all the advice I can give, but, post a Syscheck anyways.

I softmodded my Wii a long time ago, without ModMii, so I can't really give much advice.
Please don't suggest Dop-Mii, it's very dangerous. I only include it in my SysCheck guide as a last resort. Dop-Mii allows you to install stubs and delete the System Menu IOS. I really don't know why they thought it would be a good idea to include that.

Multi-Mod Manager and Wii Mod are good alternatives.

Well, I can only suggest things that I'm familiar with. I've always used DOP-Mii for IOS management, and I've never used MMM. ModMii, I've checked out a few times on Windows, but I've never used it to hack Wiis.

[title:On another note]I've used Dop-Mii to reinstall my system IOS with the trucha bug so I could run pirated Wiiware and Custom Channels from the SD card channel. Couldn't be bothered to install SNEEK

I got
failed to get TMD size for IOS250
and it returned to HBC
Follow this guide to successfully post a sysCheck.
Both versions of SYSCHECK gave me the same error.
Dop-mii gave me a (exception (DSI) occurred!) and a bunch of letters and numbers.

Also, as i said previously, MMM detected no stub IOS's.

Delete IOS250 and try again.

Hmm, Did you buy your Wii from a store, eg. Wal-Mart, or as a secondhand Wii? If you bought it secondhand, there's always the chance that your Wii was messed with before.

Couldn't delete it using MMM, in IOS Manager it showed for version installed: none.

No, I'm 99.99% sure my wii was brand new when I bought it. (Also, when I bought it, it was very popular, even finding used wii's were hard at that time)

Well, there's always the alternative of installing the cIOSes manually using the installers.

Here's d2x (cIOS 249)http://d2x-cios-installer.googlecode.com/files/d2x%20cIOS%20Installer%20v3.0.zip
Install this using IOS 236 with base IOS 56 and in slot 249

Here's Hermes (cIOS 202, 222, 223 and 224)
http://filetrip.net/g25124395-hermes-cIOS-Installer.html

Install those using IOS 236 with the recommended base IOS(es).

If you get any errors, post them and don't continue with the install. If you are confused, post here and don't continue with the install until you're question has been answered.

I managed install the 4 cIOS's with Hermes using IOS236, but on d2x, it's using IOS 60, and I don't know how to make it use IOS 236

When it asks you what IOS to use during installation, use the left and right d-pad buttons to select IOS 236.\

But atleast you got 4/5 cIOSes down

Weird, I still can't select which IOS it is using, or got that message. Is it in CIOS settings?

That's odd, let me check which screen it's on on my own wii.

EDIT:

Ok, I successfully reinstalled cIOS250 using IOS 61, so just try it, and see how it goes. It should work.

Great, nice to see it worked. It was probably a problem with the wads modmii downloaded.

not likely, they're hash checked when completed. If they were downloaded improperly, it's because u failed to read the download log, and "R"epeat the download

edit: don't worry, the next update will make it impossible to miss problematic downloads
