Hacking Can you use cheat DATs with the M3 Lite?

I have a (seemingly rather outdated) M3 Lite Slot1&2, and I'm wondering whether any of these fancy new cheat systems will work with it? I don't have a _SYSTEM_ directory by default, I've tried putting one there, but I don't think the software knows what it is or what to do with it.

Any ideas, anyone?
