Hardware Can you repair a 3ds if the screen has become detached

My friends 3ds screen has become detached was wondering if i could fix it if i replaced the housing unit and lcd top and bottom screens

You could probably send it to nintend, and see if they'll fix it. It may cost you something though.

I'd say you could but would it be worth it for the price of parts etc? You basically need the whole console except the motherboard and that's assuming it still works. Does the bottom screen power on?

not sure if the ds still powers on untill i get a good look at but i also think it would be a good project if its possible to fix it

You could always just buy the screens to test its working and if it is then get the new housing
