Apple Can someone identify what generation this iPod Touch is?

It looks like a 2g iPod touch. Can't tell if it's an MB or MC model. Anyway, the price is a bit high for a device that probably won't be supported next year. You might as well save up some money and get a 4g iPod touch or a 3g one (32 or 64gb)
 
Thanks for clarifying. I'm gonna go for it. I'm actually getting it for only $100. How do I jailbreak it?
 
The hardware matters too. 2g iPods and 3g iPhones have 128mb of ram, 3g iPods and 3gs iPhones have 256mb, 4g iPods and iPads have 256mb plus the A4 chip (1GHz) and the iPhone 4 has 512mb of ram with an A4 chip. 2g iPods are slowly becoming unsupported. Check the compatibility list of newer games.
 
It can only be a 2G iPod touch. There was no difference between 3rd and 2nd gen 8GB iPod touches
 
Could only be first or second gen iPod Touch. Is no 8GB third gen, and the fourth gen has a camera. Dunno differences between first and second gen.
 
Judging by the contour, it looks like a 2g, not a 1g. Also, the main difference between mc and mb models is that mb models are more hackable. (untethered bootrom exploit; custom boot logos, etc)

Aren't all the 2nd gen 8GB MB models and 3rd gen 8GB MC models?
The main difference is hackability, as mentioned above. Believe me, I had to wait over half a year for a jailbreak for my 3.1.3 MC model to be released (Spirit).
 
The new generation of upcoming iDevice games is only supporting the newest hardware. Wait a little bit longer, save your money and get a 4g. You will have much more fun with it for a long time.
 
I can't really wait to get more money, because my sister is getting this for me as a Christmas present (I'm not suppose to know, I did some snooping).
