My girlfriend's NDSL had case damage so I finally got around to changing the case today however after re-assembling the console only a red light flickers on and then off again and the console doesn't boot any further although it does charge normally.

I'm fairly certain that the video and microphone connections are good however I did accidentally pull off the connector on the Wifi board that the black cable connects to when I was first diassembling the system so I couldn't reconnect the black cable when I reassembled everything in the new case. Would that prevent the console from booting? My girlfriend doesn't use any Wi-Fi functionality on it at all so if I can just take out the Wifi assembly completely instead of leaving it in disconnected then that would also be fine.

TIA.
