Gaming Can I migrate Pokemon using a DS and 3DS?

Let's assume I have a gen 4 game on a DS, and a gen 5 game on 3ds. Can the gen 4 Pokemon be migrated to the gen 5 game, or do I need 2 DS's for that?

Yes you can tranfer gen 4 to 5 between a DS and 3DS

You'll have to play an annoying minigame, however. It's quite annoying.

If you have access to the decrypted save files, you can use PKHex to migrate Pokemon.
