You can't downgrade to fw 5.05. You will have to update to 6.72 but you can play all backup games up to 6.72.

That should be it yeh, I think it needs to go into PS4/UPDATE tho.

You can downgrade but it requires a backup of your SYSCON and it involved changing the chips.
For now, it's not usable for the enduser.

So I thought I knew what to do but it didnt work. How do I update from 5.55 to 6.72? I have the update on a usb in the proper folders. Ive unchecked auto downloads on my ps4. I go to system update but getget anan error about wifi connection. Am i supposed to connect to the internet?
