Hacking Can I corrupt this SD card?

I bought a used console from someone who had already added A9LH, fbi and Luma3ds. I have downloaded a lot of games, however, I would like to backup everything and change some things around. I'm a little worried because I don't want to corrupt the sd card or brick my 3ds since I'd be using a different computer and I don't have any of the original backups that he did, etc.

I don't know if this makes sense, but I don't want to do anything without being completely sure I have it all backed up in case I screw something up and would need to start over.

if you just copy the files to your computer you will be fine, just dont mess with files on the SD card.
