As much as I agree with you, courts do not, which pisses me off... Although... when the Secret Service raided me (long story, I am/was innocent, no clue if they caught the bastard that framed me/my brother...more my brother than me), they didn't touch my pirated stuff, but that might be because they didn't have a warrant for that stuff, just my computers

Fair use is not a law. I challenge you to find what law states that you can make a backup copy for personal use. I agree that it SHOULD be legal to make your own backups, but in the United States it is not.
