Hacking can 4.0e be hacked??

hi all
i have a wii witch i'm trying 2 hack (with no luck) i have never had the twilight hack or any other hbc and no mod chip.
all i'm trying 2 find out is there a way of getting around the 4.0e firmware.all help will be well appreciated.
