Call of Duty: Black Ops On PC Will Have Mod Tools

Perhaps seeking to undo some of the damage done to the Call of Duty franchise on the PC wrought by Modern Warfare 2, Treyarch has revealed that Black Ops will feature mod tools.

What these will be, we don't know. How they'll work, we don't know. When they'll be out, well, we don't know that either, as Treyarch say they're too busy finishing the game right now, and the tools will have to be released once Black Ops is on store shelves.

But mod tools are coming.

Alongside the mod tools reveal, Treyarch also confirm that a dev console will be present in the PC version of the game, so at the very least there'll be some cheats and minor tweaking to be had come release day.

Between this and a pledge for an improved server situation, Treyarch are certainly talking the talk when it comes to mending broken bridges with the PC community.[/p]

Because Treyarch didn't make Modern Warfare 2? Most people hated CoD5 while I see it as an attempt to not hound on the Modern Warfare craze CoD started. They decided to go back to a WWII and added some stuff that was fun and unique like Nazi Zombies. There's definitely a difference between how Treyarch sees the series and how Infinity Ward did. Not that I particularly like any CoD game, I'd rather play something fun

Glad there'll be tweaking I want to be able to run this on min settings while my dad hogs the multiplayer on xbox :S

I just hope I can at least run this on my comp with minimum settings. I still don't have a video card yet, unfortunately (Currently using the onboard ATI Radeon HD 4200).

Hmmmm i got some respect of treyarch since they got respect for PC gamer (Dedicated Server,Mod Tools,Dev Console) only way they could make me even more happy is free dlc map packs (like Modern Warfare 1, World at War)
