Hacking Cakes/rxTools to a9lh

I know this has been a frequent question, but I just wanted to double check since with the latest update rxTools died. I have a friend who hasn't used his New3DS in a long time, and still has it on Cakes/rxTools. From which step of Plailects guide can he start off to have luma a9lh? He still has his stuff on emuNAND so it would have to be transferred, but I'm sure that happens during the process. Thanks.

For A9LH+Luma3DS. You'd start at the beginning of the guide.

Unless for some reason you have the OTP.bin for that specific console already.

There's a section that deals with moving EmuNAND to SysNAND.

You can still run CakesFW on A9LH and it's still being worked on. Just download the latest nightly and convert the launcher using this command
dd if=Cakes.dat of=arm9loaderhax.bin bs=512 skip=144

CakesFW has better flexibility over the system and allows you to choose what patches you want vs just having them pre-setup for you. And other stuff, which you can find on my sticky

Corbenik was actually inspired from CakesFW. But their goals are completely different and Corbenik is actually setup to be more Unix-Like.

So he luma a9lh'd, but he followed a different guide and it didn't make him transfer his emuNAND, so he completely lost it (that's what you get). No biggie. Problem is that now he can't install any CIA with FBI because it's giving him this error.

Update to latest FBI, use FreeShop?

I believe he just needs to open the eShop, let it setup, then FBI should work (IIRC)

I tried googling the error code. It was about as helpful as farting in a shoe to make it smell better.
I know most error codes I've run into were database issues.
