Hacking Buying a DS Lite Touch Screen

I decided to buy a DS Lite touch screen. Is there any difference between the 30 dollar ones and 3 dollar ones?

I wanna buy this but it seems too cheap and I've had experiences on the net where cheap things dont work -.-

DO NOT GET THE $3 ONE. My friends cousin baught the exact one from the site and it screwed up the DS. Waste of good $3 XD.

He's done it before. Also forgot to add he said this one seems for flimsy.

I bought a very cheap one on Ebay and I installed it fine! There's a very good tutorial floating around on the internet with pictures and everything.

But the BIG problem was that the "cheap ass" touch screen hardly reacted. You really had to press down HARD to get any response. So I had to sell my DS and buy a new one.

Has them for ~$4 - and the reviews say that they are as good as the original.

Though you ONLY get the touch sensitive part, not the LCD, so you have to carefully (they are glued together) prise the original LCD and touch screen apart.

If the LCD is broken you need a different part

I thought I'd put that in, because it can be quite easy to miss the fact that the touch sensitive part is different to the LCD.

What is wrong with your screen?

If it doesn't display correctly you need the LCD, if it doesn't sense touch correctly you need the touch screen. Or you could get both (which *may* make it easier to install)

*I say may, I haven't replaced the screens before, though I have tried to prise apart the touch part from the LCD and it isn't that easy...

It has splotches in it after some water got on it. Though it kinda looks like the splotches are behind the actual screen display... I'll buy both just in case
