i've tried to find out what this does but i have failed, so i have come to you

what does the floppy disk ^^ icon do?

The floppy disc icon saves the page. you can recall the page by typing in the file in the url bar.

ok thanks, so i just click on that, type in and save it as 'whatever'. then go on it later and in the url type 'whatever' and it should come up?
