I go to the browserhax link, the touch screen flashes yellow, then grey, then orange, and then the 3ds returns to the home menu with the message "An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, and then restart the system."

Gee, do people just give up early or make basic oversights often these days?
People also never want help because, you know, they never detail things which need to be detailed to be answered?

Hi! :D

Somebody else had some problems using browserhax in the way I'm about to describe, but -- give it a go, and let us know if it works for you.

1) Open your browser, touch the spanner to go to your settings, and scroll until you see a button labelled, "clear all save data". Press it. It's sorta like clearing your cache. This will close the browser and return you to your home menu once it's done.

2) Reopen the browser, go through the setup windows, and then, hit the URL button when you can.

3) Enter: http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php?

4) After the "?", enter some random letters. So you might get http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php?asefsnshfygrjmngyn

5) Press confirm.

6) Wait and be patient. Hopefully, it should load up homebrew.

Hope this helps!

Did you remember to initialize the browser? This has to be done for the Old3DS, to my knowledge.

Never mind, just read that last post.

I've had this happen a few times to me too, usually rebooting the system then clearing out the browser settings after a reset fixes it (i know that clearing the browser settings was recommended already, but the reboot seems to help some too, for whatever reason, or at least it did in my case).
