Hacking Broken DS Lite

I got a DS Lite that only powers on for a second or two then shuts off, I guess it could be that the battery is dead? OR has anybody had this problem and it is a different cause. Would it be a fuse problem??

Your battery is dead.
You can either buy a new Battery or Keep it on charge all the time.
My friend had this problem with his laptop but he solved it by leaving it on charge for ages.

Not necessarily, it could easily be a screen problem. A loose, damaged or disconnected screen cable will give the same symptoms. Do either screens flash when you try to turn it on? obviously you should try to turn the ds on while it's plugged in, just in case.

The NDSL's battery has a life of 1000 charges.
Either you've charged it more than the max no. of times or maybe the voltage fluctuated while charging or something.
Just change the battery and it should work.
