Hacking broken ds lite screen help

droped the ds hinge broke off scren is messed up like this now, sometimes the colour comes back right(rarely) i opened it up tried to fiddle with the screen connector but not much luck. is the screen just broken or is there more to this? i dont have a spair screen to test with sadly
and help at all cheers.

Most likely the ribbon cable was damaged when you dropped it and unfortunately, there's no way to undo that. You will probably have to buy a new top screen and replace it. DX has some for like, 11 bucks or so.

if its just the screen thats ok ill get a new one tomorrow from repair shop, im just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, i heard the GPU could be broken, but shouldnt that break both screens if thats the case?

It's very unlikely the GPU could be broken from a drop.

just bought a new screen working now, just waiting for my case to arrive, cant wait to fix this thing
