Check out Crediars twitter www.twitter.com/BroadOn

Just curious as to what purpose this would serve...Emulating the ARM, I get. Something to do with Gamecube maybe?

a fake what? And even if it deletes cIOS files, they are easy enough to reinstall. It is certainly crediar's twitter, why is everyone so afraid of it. I'd test if I had my wii with me now.

Doesn't it?

It's probably an attempt to delete all cIOSes on every Wii. Don't download it
That can't have been a serious post. And it does exactly what it says. It emulates the Wii's ARM processor.

there's no download link or source code (edit, looks like the source is available for people who want to compile it) for us normal folks to use (unless I totally missed something)... so all we can do is wait... personally, I doubt this is a fake, and I doubt it will delete cIOSs. I think megazig and crediar are working on something interesting... I have no idea what it is gonna do when they get around to releasing it, but for now, all we can do is continue to speculate and just wait

No speculation necessary, it is clearly stated on the Google Code page it is an emulator of the Wii's ARM CPU (i.e. the broadway AFAIK). Probably for testing IOS stuff or something. Perhaps useful for finding IOS exploits, I dunno.

During normal System Menu operation PPC is off.
How iroinic.
Is PPC fast enough to emulate ARM and run GC game at the same time?

Um, what? System Menu runs on PPC, PPC is not off. And I don't think the emulator is for the Wii. You clearly haven't got a CLUE what this is for, it has nothing to do with GC AT ALL.

Are you sure? BC and MIOS contain ARM code, so that could be emulated. I wouldn't call that nothing.

I'm watching '25C3 wii fail' again.
Under GC mode PPC is downclocked by half.
So what if PPC stays at full speed and uses it for all ARM emulation?
Smells like GC usb loader.

Very interesting. Do you really think it will be fast enough to emulate the GC's ARM processor? I think if you want to emulate another CPU, your CPU needs about 6 times the processing power of the other one.
