Hacking brlyt and brlan editor

they know of some program to edit brlyt and brlans. layout editor doesn't work for me. very thankful

BENZIN is another option

But it's command-line only, so don't know if you can understand it and if you can edit the resulting XML file from the brlyt and then recompile it

For try to fix the Wii Layout Editor tools, download the following required plugins for that:

Look also at this quote from http://wiki.tockdom.com/wiki/Wii_Layout_Editor if WiiLayoutEditor still doesn't start:

Wii Layout Editor is a program created by Gericom. It is able to view certain types of file extentions, such as BRLAN and BRLYT. If the program does not start, it means that the OpenGL version is not supported.

Pero es solo en la línea de comandos, así que no sé si puede entenderlo y si puede editar el archivo XML resultante del brlyt y luego volver a compilarlo. AG

Thanks friend, I finally made the layout editor work. Problem, I had pngs instead of tpl.

Looking for alternatives I found wexo's toolbox, will it work?

Maybe. Wexos's Toolbox has support for BRLYT and BRLAN. Or at least in the latest version (v1.0.2.7).

According to me I put it in English.

I installed the fix, but I still can't open .brlan files in Wii Layout Editor.

Wii Layout Editor is not able to edit the .brlan (Wii banner animation) files. It is just for read and edit .brlyt (Wii banner layout) files.
If you want to use BENZIN, convert the .brlan to .xmlan, not .xmlyt. Converting to .xmlyt requires the .brlyt to convert.

In other words:
brlyt ---> xmlyt
brlan ---> xmlan
