Hello, i got a old DS phat which worked for a long time, but since a few years ago strangely I was not able to access the settings, Pictochat or download play.
If I did, it would freeze (Alarm works perfectly though).
It would also sometimes not see the sl1 cart, also it would freeze very few times ingame(any game) after which the game would be gone from sl1 in DS menu on next start, until I restart it again.

I tried to fix this by resetting through taking out the battery for 10 sec, but no results, just seems to freeze after Nintendo logo on top screen.

Flashme is out of question, I did not know what this was or how to use it before the problems arised.

I could not find anything anywhere what to do, so hopefully you guys can help me.

I do have a DSTWO and R4i-3DS-rts at my disposal if that may help.

Can I ask why Flashme is out of the question?

Do you have an autoboot flashcart like the original R4 Revolution for DS?

...you didn't happen to try to install the Gateway 3DS file on your DS Phat, did you?

Have you had problems connecting to Wifi before this?

I did take its lifeforce from its back for longer than a minute, ofcourse causing it to reset(lose settings).
No result though other than the usual nintendo logo on top screen and it staying(freezing) white after.

It does the same with sl1 cardridge in/out, sl2 games make no difference.

At the moment nothing can be run, so flashme can not be run from DSTWO, it does just startup with the Nintendo logo on top screen, but freezes after with white on both screens.
I do not have a original r4.

Could it be reaching the end of its life?

It could be a corrupt firmware. It has happened. If that is the case there is a thread here called 'Ds lite corrupt firmware'. The solution works on phats and slims but requires a pc, soldering skills and a parallel port. Other than that, have you tried cleaning the contacts in the cartridge slots ? I hope you find a solution.

I see, in that case i will look at that thread or just simply get myself a new DS phat/lite.
Thanks for the help, you guys are great :yaysp:
