Hold reset, launch HBC from preloader (if it freezes, get the homebrew launcher, put the dol in the root of the SD, and launch that), then launch cIOS Downgrader 1.2, and install menu 2.2 (u/e/j whatever your region). Then rerun the waninkoko 4.0 updater and don't use preloader. You can install StarPatch though, which can offer similar patches to StarFall. This is how I freed my wii.
