Hacking Brick my 3DS XL

Hey guys
I tried to downgrade my european 3DS XL and now all i have is a blackscreen. After the CIA analyse i wasnt looking at the screen so when i cam back i found a blackscreen I turn it off/on and retired the SD card but its just dosnt want to work. Even the recovery mode doesnt appear.

It happened to me too. You're not the only one who suffered a hard brick.

Just to cover all bases, are you trying to enter recovery mode by pressing the buttons AFTER you turn on the 3DS, or BEFORE? If it's after, hold down the buttons before starting the console, and while holding them, turn on the console.

Also, what was your firmware before attempting to downgrade? I heard somewhere on the forums, that you need to update to 10.3 because it's more stable when downgrading.

More information about your attempt will be more useful. That way we can rule out some things, and also to make a contribution to the comunity since the damage is done. What version of sysUpdate were you using? where did you download the files from? whas the checksum correct according to your console? entry point?

I used to have 9.9.0 - 26E so i had to upploade it to 10.2
Im 100% that the entry point was correct.
I download sysUpdate form a spanish website.
So after using menuhax i used sysupdater just like a saw in a TUTORIAL

And yes Rhapsody i did just like you said even if it was hard with only two hands

I download sysUpdate form a spanish website.

Why did you use suyUpdate from that spanish site and not safeSysUpdate from gbatemp? did you use the old version of sysUpdate? that version surely has way more chance of hard brick. So far nobody has reported a hard brick from using safeSysupdate man :/ what happened? :/

Umm, try recovery mode. BUT, after turning it on, start holding down the "A" button right after powering on.

I will go to sleep and hope when i wake up it will be just a bad dream. :sad face:
I will also keep the 3DS on maybe it will work when the battry die or smtg

I heard from one person, leave it on all night in sleep mode on the charger and it might download the update files and apply them. That's a rumor and a long shot, but, better to try than to not?
