I never bothered with the demos, because they sound like bull shit. the second demo only allows like five hours of play time, then it can't be booted anymore from what I've heard.

I haven't played the series, but I've heard the series is either by the same team as octopath traveler or the games are just notoriously difficult like octopath traveler. I loved that game.

Well they're both Square Enix games, but different devs.

Octopath Traveler was developed by Square Enix Business Division 11 and Acquire
Bravely Default 1 and End Layer were developed by Silicon Studio
Bravely Default II is developed by Claytechworks

It’s turn based jrpg with a job system. Like older final fantasies before they turned them into action rpgs after 10. That’s why I like this series.

5 hours is more than enough to test out a game though, and that's the intended use of a demo
