So I've recently acquired a Brain Boy (Gold label). I got it solely for the save manager. I've done the self-test on it and it said that it's a "Monster Brain 2.0".
I have been trying to backup my save on my Japanese Pokémon Crystal cart, but it doesn't work. It clearly does know that the cart is inserted as the device boots in Colored Mode and the game itself loads when I select "Start Game". I've tried with my Japanese Yellow and English Red carts; both carts were allowed to make a backup and restore saves.
I've read on a few places that it does allow all GB/GBC games to backup and restore saves, so I'm very confused. Am I doing something wrong?
