Gaming Bowser's Inside Story Save problems

Just some background information. I'm using a real r4 card running the latest version of wood (1.30 I think). I played the whole game without a single save problem until after the credits finished. I got the message "unable to access save data. please turn power off and reinsert the game card." Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I looked through a bunch of threads here, but I couldn't find anyone else with this problem. Please let me know if there's a thread already out there.

So you can't access your save anymore?

How large is the actual file?

I can still save in other areas of the game, and I can access my data from the last save. I just cannot do anything after the credits. The save file type is 64k.
And it was a pre-patched rom, if that helps.

Use a clean ROM.
