Bought a GC Wavebird Reciever and it won't work

So my controller works fine. My issue is that the OEM reciever I bought doesn't work. Using a multimeter, is seems the dial is receiving power. However, the power indicator will not turn on. Has anyone dealt with this and can I fix it? My particular reciever is a DOL-005 with the RF receiver being labeled with 02X233D.

EDIT: Ignore this. I'm stupid. I've never used a real Wavebird and assumed the light would flash light my knockoff ones. I... um... set the same channel on both controller and receiver and... the result can only be described as magic...
