Apple Border arounder iPod Touch screen/Doesnt fill screen

So today I noticed this border around my screen. It looks like this (the iPhone on the picture is not mine, however I use a custom theme on mine):

Is there some kind of problem with my iPod, or do I just suck at paying attention to things?

It isn't normal, at least I don't think so. The iPhone is themed, so maybe that border is part of the theme?

He said he noticed it on his iPod, he didn't say it was his iPod in the picture. He just found an image online of an iPod with the same problem (I'm guessing)
