There's a newer version, indeed. Please, download it and read carefully the release indications (tl;dr you also need to download and use a special Luma version in order to get all working):
Heyy, new to modding and homebrew. I literally homebrewed my New3DSxL today and have everything working well. I have the latest version of Luma (v10.2.1) and I just want to use BootNTR Selector for wireless game streaming (capture cards are WAY too expensive nowadays and i haven't the time or money to order one and wait to get it). It is also extremely hard to find answers to 3ds-homebrew-related stuff that actually work, due to the console being somewhat old-ish... as much as i hate to admit its age.
So I have kit-kat Slim, but i heard somewhere that some other program is better?? Snickerstream or something.. i havent tried that yet.
But i digress- my issue is that i'm wondering how on earth to get the plugin working. The instructions are very unclear. Am I supposed to install the boot.firm file and put it in a subfolder titled “BootNTRSelector-[name]-Banner” that is located in another subfolder called “BootNTR Selector” that is also located in another subfolder called “plugin(s?)”, which is located in the “luma” folder in my 3DS SD card????
And why does it specify about the format being .3gx? where does that info apply? do i put the BootNTR Selector .cia in the same folder as the boot.firm thing and change the file extension to .3gx for the boot.firm and/or BootNTR Selector files?? Or is this only for .3dsx files???
What I'm looking for is a step-by-step solution.. please.
I do not care at all about cheats- so I'm doing all this for the purpose of game capture only.
My last resort ig will be to try to downgrade my Luma to v9.1, but im worried that if i just delete the Luma folder from my SD card and reinstall the earlier version, that my other homebrew applications will render my 3ds unuseable or conflict with the Luma version or whatever, meaning i'll have to delete everything and start from scratch with the homebrew. Bear in mind Im extremely new to homebrewing, and as I'm still a student, i dont have a lot of money to throw around for a new 3ds if this one gets damaged. I'm extremely paranoid about ruining the thing!!
