Does the booktype need to be set to dvd-rom for the backup loader to read it? Anyone have any info on changing the booktype for a HL-DT-ST_DVDRAM_GSA-T20N WP03 ?
    Doesn't seem to want to.

Use Nero, or ImgBurn, but ImgBurn doesn't let you change the book type unless your drive is BenQ, LiteOn, Samsung, Plextor, Ricoh, NEC or Nu Tech...!!! [IMG]

Sometimes, flashing your DVD burner with a custom firmware allows you to set booktype, I could set booktype with imgburn after I flashed my burner.

This drive is not a Samsung drive but a LG. It indeed seems to have auto bitsetting according to a post on the second page here :
    http://club.cdfreaks.com/f91/how-good-bad-...sa-t20n-227890/

FYI not all LG driver have auto bitsetting, I have two LG burners and none of them have auto bisetting. Also imgbrun does not sets booktype automatically, but if you set it once it will keep the setting.
