Well, the original Boktai GBA cart has a sensor in it...seeing as your G6 doesn't have a sensor, you cannot play the game with that functionality. If you really want to play it: go buy it.

@JPH11200: you can use L and R to simulate Sun's effect.
you are a genius.

i used an IPS patch, but after "Licenced by Nintendo" it goes black.

Yes it will say there is an error since the retail game has an actual solar sensor in the cart.
I thought the game was released prepatched though? Can you actually play past the error screen? If so once ingame try changing the sunlight intensity using L and d-pad left and right. To make the real time clock run 60x faster press L+R and up on d-pad. Those are the feature if the patch.

If that doesn't work then there is an ISP patch for the rom but I don't have a link to it, the release thread will be in the archive forum either that or google is your friend.

Edit - Not sure what to suggest regarding your last post, maybe the patch is for a different region rom, or you have trim settings or something similar on messing about with it? Might be worth digging up the original thread on here because there was lots of discussion on it.

there was a patch that let you change the light with L+R, but that made the whole thing a bit pointless. if you can track it down buy it.

edit- do i really type that slow?!

thnx, but one of those that i used was from no frills.
one of them worked with VBA and not with g6, as i mentioned in my first post.
the second fix is a .bbp file which i couldnt find ppfa to patch my rom with.
i found another IPS from another site, but that doesnt even worked with VBA.
what can i do?
f***, f***. only if i could, i would buy these. F*** my country.

hey!!!!!!!!
I ran it !
i used EuroAsia's IPS as i did before, BUT the change i made was that i used just software in G6's menu! i thought that i'm providing the software thing and i dont need to G6 to do anything for me, so my thought worked and yep!

the only thing that matters me is the future in the game, do u think it will crash or something? : (

p.s. does the Boktai 1, 2, 3 and lunar knights's storylines connected? or they have separate stories?
