Hacking blue light flashes on then off (second hand 3ds)

definitely a problem at hardware level, just tried the method on my o3ds xl and it booted straight in......bummer
 
did try this as well but still didnt get any luck. I ended up buying another one with a broken bottom screen and made a working one out of the two. i then tried the motherboard from the one i originally posted about in the other that i made good and still couldnt get any joy out of it. so i reckon imo that the motherboard from the original one is either hard bricked or fried in some other way

I do want to thank you all for the massive amount of information and help though (especiallly with the ntrboot as i now have a flashcart for getting out of trouble)

Its places like this that can help people keep something that might just need a bit of knowledge from ending up on the recycling pile :):yay3ds:
