Hi all,

total noob and this has probably been asked 1,000 times, but I cannot find the answer.

first, I wish there was a different model for the 'new' wii, the one without the GC ports.

It seems that 99% of the search hits for hacking a wii are only to install HB channel. I am beginning to appreciate all you people who have the same question over and over and over....

HB is installed. downloaded the cIOS DX2 installer and cIOS d2x v10 beta53-alt
when I read the READ ME file, there was no mention of the wireless controller.

seems the black wii has no hard wired ports so only works with wireless.
seems the install needs user input, but the remote does not talk to the install software.

Can anyone point me to the answers ?

it would be nice if there were some way to use the USB port with a controller....
or for an upgrade to auto-run without user input.

so lemme get this straight.....you're wondering about why your wiimote wont work with the hb channel? I dont find your question very clear :(

If you are trying to hack your wii, use modmii. It will download all the necessary files and also make a guide custom made for you.

First - there is.

RVL-001 is the original Wii and it looks like this:

RVL-101 is the "horizontal" Wii with no GC ports and looks like this:

Notice that the Wii logo on the front is in a different position.

I guess the cIOS installer hasn't been updated to add motionplus support. Instead use modmii, guide is here.
